01Start with the activity
Road running, gym training and everyday sportswear can call for different sock specifications. Tell us the intended use, season, sock height and typical shoe type. A lightweight ankle design and a cushioned crew should be treated as separate development briefs rather than the same sock with a different length.
02Define cushioning and fit zones
Mark where cushioning is wanted: full sole, heel and toe, or a lighter construction. Discuss mesh areas, arch construction, cuff grip and toe finish during sampling. More cushioning also means more volume inside the shoe, so the approved sample should be tried with the footwear your customer is likely to wear.
03Check performance claims separately
A visual design does not establish moisture-management or durability performance. If your launch requires a specific test result, explain the method and acceptance criteria before quoting. Medical compression is a separate requirement and should not be inferred from a close-fitting sports sock.
Your project checklist
- Activity and footwear
- Cushioning zones
- Logo position
- Fit trial sizes
Add these details to your enquiry. Undecided items can be discussed before a final quotation.
