01Set the height with a measurement
“Crew” does not define one universal height. Give a finished leg measurement and the point from which it is measured. Include the size range, cuff width and preferred rib structure so the silhouette can be checked consistently across samples and production.
02Plan graphics around the construction
Logo scale, stripe spacing and pattern placement should be reviewed on the sock, not only on a flat drawing. Small lettering and dense artwork may need simplification for the chosen construction. State whether the left and right socks are identical, mirrored or use different artwork.
03Keep a repeat-order reference
An approved sample, colour reference and versioned specification make repeat orders easier to discuss. Record changes to yarn, dimensions, packaging and artwork in one place. Ask for a revised sample when a change materially affects fit or appearance rather than relying on an old approval.
